Van Monster's Comprehensive Warranty for Van Sales
Our Van Monster warranty (the “Warranty”) covers your vehicle for a period of up to 6 months or 10,000 miles, whichever comes first (the “Warranty Period”). The Warranty Period begins when the vehicle is either collected from a Van Monster branch or delivered to you, providing you with peace of mind from the moment you receive the vehicle.
- The Warranty offers the following key features:
- Component failure
- Green Flag breakdown cover4
- No wear and tear exclusions on vans with less than 80,000 miles1
- All mechanical and electrical components of the van are covered when they were supplied as part of the manufacturer's original specification2
- Timing belt covered against premature failure3
- Tail lifts and tipper gear covered for first 30 days
- DPF covered against premature failure
- UK based customer care team

3 Providing timing belt has been checked/replaced in accordance with manufacturer guidelines
4 Breakdown cover available for 6 months from delivery/collection and covers mainland UK only, includes roadside assistance and recovery to the nearest Van Monster branch or an approved repair centre, full T&Cs are available upon request.
- What is Covered Under the Warranty?
If you have a valid claim under the Warranty, then we will contribute towards the cost of the necessary repairs required to the vehicle due to an unexpected mechanical or electrical failure occurring within the Warranty Period subject to the exclusions set out in these warranty terms.
We may decide (in our sole discretion) that the vehicle is uneconomical to repair, and we reserve the right to not proceed with repairs, and, in such circumstances, we will provide a refund subject to reasonable deductions for any use of the vehicle, damage, modifications etc.
Courtesy vehicles are subject to availability and as such we cannot guarantee that we will be able to provide these. Like for like courtesy vehicles cannot be guaranteed. Any provision of a courtesy vehicle will be for a maximum period of 28 days and subject to a one-off Insurance fee of £30 and damage excess set at £1500.
- Exclusions
The Warranty expires 6 months from the date of delivery/collection or once the vehicle has been driven 10,000 miles (whichever occurs first). Where you have purchased an extended warranty, it is your responsibility to notify us immediately when you are likely to or have exceeded the mileage on the original warranty so that we can activate the extended warranty. If you fail to notify us that you have exceed the mileage on the original warranty, then we cannot guarantee that you will be covered under the extended warranty and therefore the warranty may be void.
All mechanical and electrical components of the vehicle are covered where they were supplied as part of the manufacturer’s original specification, other than the following items which are excluded from the Warranty:
- bodywork;
- paintwork;
- light units;
- interior and exterior trim;
- seats and seat belts;
- glass (including mirror glass);
- handles, hinges and fasteners;
- wheels and tyres;
- exhaust system; and
- software updates, unless explicitly required to rectify a covered mechanical or electrical failure;
Workshop consumables and service/maintenance items are also excluded from the Warranty, which includes but is not limited to:
- spark plugs and leads;
- filters;
- brake and clutch frictional material;
- wiper blades and arms;
- drive belts, pipes and hoses; and
- bulbs, batteries and fuses.
We will not provide any service under this Warranty and the Warranty shall be void in respect of:
- use of the vehicle in motor racing, rallies, speed or endurance tests;
- use of the vehicle for hire or reward (including courtesy vehicles);
- failure to comply with the manufacturer’s recommendations including but not limited to any recommended maintenance or use of the vehicle;
- any unauthorised modifications or changes from the condition and specification supplied at the point of sale including but not limited to, any performance tuning, body alterations, or non-standard accessories;
- any additional equipment installed on the vehicle unless (otherwise agreed by us in writing);
- using incorrect fluids (e.g., oil, coolant) or low-quality replacements;
- using incorrect fuel;
- not following the recommended service schedule;
- use of non-approved parts or repairers;
- tampering with the odometer;
- flood, fire, or other natural disasters not covered under warranty terms;
- reckless driving; and/or
- vehicles being used in any manner that violates applicable laws or regulations.
The warranty does not cover any non-factory fitted components such as:
- alarms;
- immobiliser;
- tracking device;
- satellite navigation systems;
- telephone equipment; or
- LPG conversion.
Van Monster Warranty and breakdown cover is valid for mainland UK only. Notwithstanding whether you have a valid warranty claim, Van Monster is not liable for any costs for recovery to mainland UK.
The Warranty covers you for repairs carried out at a Van Monster-approved repair centre only. If you proceed with any repairs without Van Monster’s prior written consent, then the warranty will be void and Van Monster will not be liable for any costs.
- General Terms
The warranty is non-transferable.
Van Monster shall not be held liable for any failure or delay in performing obligations under the Warranty where such failure or delay results from circumstances beyond reasonable control or as a result of any acts or omissions of you, including but not limited to natural disasters, pandemics, or governmental restrictions.
This Warranty is subject to the terms and conditions outlined in the Van Monster’s standard sales T&Cs (the “Sales Terms”), and in the event of any conflict, the provisions of the Sales Terms shall prevail.
To make a warranty claim, you must contact Van Monster within 7 days of you becoming aware of the fault, providing full details of the issue and any relevant documentation. Failure to follow the procedure and report issues in a timely manner may result in the claim being void. Van Monster will not be liable for any damage if you continue to drive the vehicle with a known fault and/or where we advise you not to the drive the vehicle.
You are responsible for maintaining the vehicle in accordance with the manufacturer’s recommendations, including regular servicing and timely repairs. Failure to properly maintain the vehicle will invalidate the Warranty.
Van Monster will handle your personal data in accordance with its Privacy Policy located here: Privacy Policy | Van Monster. Data collected for Warranty claims will be used solely for processing the claim and related customer service.
Van Monster’s liability under this Warranty is limited to the cost of repair or replacement of components covered under the Warranty. Van Monster shall not be liable for any loss of profit, loss of business, loss of goodwill, loss of anticipated savings, or any indirect or consequential loss or damage, whether arising in contract, tort (including negligence), breach of statutory duty, or otherwise, even if foreseeable.
This Warranty and any disputes arising from it shall be governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction for any proceedings in connection with the Warranty.
