The Picanto’s tight turning circle, light controls and small stature mean it’s an incredibly easy car to drive, especially if you’re in heavy traffic or need to fit into a tight parking space. There’s much more to this car than simply being compact and nimble though.

Although it’s less than 3.6m long and 1.6m wide, the Picanto still has the practicality of five doors and a hatchback boot. The boot has a decent capacity of 255 litres, but with the 60/40 split-folding rear seats down, there’s an impressive total luggage capacity of over 1,000 litres.
Standard features include Bluetooth, hill-start assist and Kia’s brake assist system, while there’s a wide choice of trims to get the exact spec you want. This rises from 1 to 2, and then on to the Shadow, 3, X-Line and X-Line S trims, before the top spec GT-Line and GT-Line S. Everything from the Shadow upwards gets a reversing camera system, while the 3, X-Line S and GT-Line S all come with satellite navigation.
